We hold almost nothing about you.

The short version

• No accounts. You never make one, so we never ask for your name, your email or a password.
• We do not sell your data. There is nobody to sell it to and nothing worth selling.
• We do not follow you around other websites. No tracking pixels, no advertising profile built by us.
• Your saved cards never leave your device. They are not on our server at all.
• What you publish is public. That is the point of publishing, but it is worth saying plainly.

What stays on your device

Your browser does most of the work on this site, and most of what you do here never reaches us.

• Saved decks and cards, bookmarks kept in your browser's local storage.
• Your print tray, the cards you have queued up for a sheet.
• Small preferences, like paper size.

None of that is sent anywhere, and it is readable only by this site, on this device, in this browser. Clearing your browser data for this site removes your bookmarks and your print tray. Nothing is lost by that beyond convenience: a deck itself lives on SPELLPRINT, not in your browser, so re-finding and re-saving it takes seconds.

What our server actually stores

Only what you deliberately publish. When you publish a deck, these go to the server so other people can find it:

• The artwork you uploaded, and the cover image.
• The deck title, theme, description, format, card names and the creator name you typed.
• The date it was published, and how many times it has been viewed or downloaded.

The creator name is whatever you choose to type. It can be a handle, an artist name, or nothing recognisable at all. We do not check it and we do not connect it to anything else.

Publishing gives you a private link that lets you delete that deck later, and it also appears for you under Your Published on the Saved page in this browser. Keep the link somewhere safe. It is the only thing that proves the deck is yours, because there is no account to log into.

Server logs

Like every website, our server records requests as they arrive. That log includes your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user agent string. This is not a tracking choice we made, it is how a web server works.

We use it for exactly two things: keeping the site running, and dealing with abuse such as spam floods or attacks. Logs are kept briefly and then discarded. They are not used to build a profile of you and they are not combined with anything else.

Our host

The site runs on rented hosting. The host necessarily handles the traffic between you and this site and keeps its own server logs, under its own privacy terms.

Google Fonts

The typefaces on this site load from Google's servers. That means Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads, the same way any image hosted elsewhere would. We receive nothing from Google in return and no cookie is set by it. We mention it because it is a genuine third party and almost no site says so.

Nothing else, today

There is no analytics service, no heatmap tool, no social media widget, no comment platform and no chat box on this site. If any of that ever changes, this page changes first.

Advertising

There is currently no advertising on this site.

That may change, because hosting has to be paid for somehow. If it does, this page will be updated before the first ad appears. Either way, the commitments are these:

• Ads will never gate, delay or degrade anything you came here for. No interstitials, no countdowns, no waiting five seconds to download.
• We will never hand an advertiser anything you typed, uploaded, saved or downloaded.
• Visitors in the EU and UK will get a real choice about personalised advertising before any tracking cookie is set, and declining will not restrict the site.

Be aware that ad networks are third parties with their own data practices. If ads are running, they may set their own cookies and read your IP address, which is how advertising on the web works everywhere. We will name the network here when there is one to name.

Printing supply links

Guides on this site may link to things like cardstock, corner rounders, trimmers and sleeves. Some of those links may earn us a small commission from the retailer, at no extra cost to you.

Following one of those links may let that retailer set a cookie so the sale is credited here. What comes back to us is anonymous and aggregate, meaning a count of purchases and an amount. We never learn who bought anything.

If you are under 13

This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13. Since there are no accounts, we have no way to verify age. If you believe a child has published something identifying here, write to us and it will be removed.

Your rights, and how to actually use them

Depending on where you live you may have legal rights to see, correct, export or delete data held about you. Because there are no accounts here, most of these are things you can do yourself in seconds.

• Delete everything on this device. Clear your browser's site data for this site. That removes every saved card, the print tray, and all stored images.
• Delete a deck you published. Use the private edit link you were given when you published it.
• Lost the edit link? Write to us with the address of the deck page and enough detail to show it is yours, and we will remove it.
• Ask what we hold about you. Write to us. The honest answer is almost always nothing beyond what you published.

We do not charge for any of this and we will not make you create an account to ask.

Changes to this page

If this page changes in a way that affects you, such as advertising or analytics being added, the date at the bottom changes and the new practice is described here before it starts, not after.
